Donna Abbondanza, MSN, RN

Donna Abbondanza is a seasoned Registered Nurse with a Masters degree in Mental Health Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She also has an advanced education in Oncology, Cardiology, Project Management, Leadership and Facial Aesthetics. Donna has held positions as a staff nurse, research nurse and clinic director at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. As a staff nurse within the Mood Disorders Module, she worked with a diverse population of psychiatric disorders. She worked as a research nurse on a federally funded grant with J. John Mann, MD addressing the neurobiology of suicide. In addition, she worked with David Kupfer, MD on the Stanley Centers for the Innovative Treatment of Bipolar Disorders. From her experience at Western Psychiatric, she learned integrity, compassion and respect for others, as well as nursing skills that enhanced her Aesthetics practice.

Donna held positions in pharmaceutical research and development at Boehringer Ingelheim, Aventis and Janssen Pharmaceuticals. While at Boehringer, she worked on one of the first monoclonal antibodies in clinical development. During her time at Janssen she had increasing responsibilities with the project management working on the initial FDA submission of Reminyl; multiple Procrit/Eprex submissions, safety and efficacy projects, and within the mature projects portfolio. She was the global program management lead for ongoing safety, pediatric FDA commitments, co-partner submissions and international approval submissions. Donna knows drug development and safety, and applies this knowledge to her aesthetic products and practice recommendations.

Donna is noted in multiple publications and has one first authored publication. She is married to her high school sweetheart and has two daughters and four grandchildren.
